History

Founded in 2006 by Thomas Smith and Justin Brown, what has come to be known as Grand Contracting was built upon the two entrepreneurs’ dedication to one objective: providing high-quality, superior construction services for clients and their communities.

In 2006, Tom and Justin also started Grand Industrial, now sister company predominately constructing in the industrial, manufacturing, and food processing industries. Grand Contracting and Grand Industrial now co-exist as two distinct companies with abilities to provide services to each other.

The company also provides Leo Brown Group and Grand Industrial the construction services to build a multitude of projects. Grand Contracting also performs construction services for other third-party developers and third-party owners.

Hear From Our Clients

"We had the pleasure of engaging Grand for a new construction student housing project in Bloomington, Indiana. As everyone is aware 2020 has been an uncharacteristically challenging year relating to uncertainty in the labor markets, supply chains, and general operating conditions in the construction industry.

Fortunately for us, none of these market conditions affected our project, and it was completed both on time and under budget. Grand and its principals have conducted themselves with the utmost level of professionalism and practicality, forging ahead to deliver a first-class asset for our firm. We are grateful for the relationship with Grand and we look forward to working together with them in the future."
